A sculpture of a giant gumboot with a green frog clinging to its side greets visitors to the far north Queensland town of Tully.
The golden gumboot that greets visitors to the far north Queensland town of Tully - arguably Australia's wettest town - has fallen into a state of disrepair since it was erected in 2002. March 2017.(ABC Far North: Mark Rigby)

Tully is one of the larger towns of the Cassowary Coast Region - and is agricultural heartland for crops such as sugar cane and bananas. It also boasts itself as one of the wettest towns in Australia.

So what are the key tourism drawcards in the local region?

Presenter Kate O'Toole is joined by Cassowary Coast Region Mayor Mark Nolan, Charley's Chocolate Factory founder Lynn Jahnke and Tully's local barber Lawrence O'Neill - to introduce us to the region, and find out which activities we should be adding to our to-do list whilst in the region.
