All 11 industry category partners are looking forward to reading your exciting projects relating to a significant, longstanding or emerging issue in the agriculture sector. At the judging phase, each partner will convene an expert panel to assess applications and select their winner using the assessment criteria outlined in the program guidelines. So what are they looking for in an application? We asked and here’s what they said: “An excellent application is one that considers the needs of the end users, has real-world applicability, and helps to solve an industry problem.” “We are looking for out-of-the box projects, or blue sky ideas, that just need a bit of support or a pilot experiment that could warrant further research investment or commercialisation.” “Be bold in your thinking and imagination, think of innovation along the supply chain and what creative angle you can take that provides long-term benefits to the industry.” Australian Eggs - looking for cracking ideas in the eggs and poultry industry Did you know that eggs contain the highest quality protein on the planet and form a major part of our diet with Australians eating 14.3 kg per person per year? To meet this demand, Australian egg farmers keep a national flock of over 20 million layers that produce 17.2 million eggs each day. Australian Eggs is most eggcited to hear about projects which will help solve an industry challenge in a creative and innovative way.
